About Us
Centrepoint is a friendly, family-oriented church, with a strong outward focus. We are passionate about building a church that will transform this city, nation and world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are affiliated with the Australian Christian Churches (formerly Assemblies of God in Australia).
Sunday Mornings
About 200 people attend Centrepoint each Sunday. Our services are held in an Indoor Basketball Stadium at the South Lake Leisure Centre. There will be ample signage and friendly greeters to show you the way.
Our services have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere about them. We have a multi-cultural congregation with people of all ages and backgrounds. Our worship style is contemporary and vibrant; the message will be inspiring and relevant. The service may also incorporate dance, drama, multimedia and song items from time to time. Each service lasts for an hour and a half.
Visitors Gifts
Sometime during the service, our pastor may ask visitors to raise their hands. We don't want to single you out, but we have a little bag of goodies for you. In it, you'll find more information about our church, current programs and chocolates.
When the service is finished, join us for a cuppa and delicious morning tea at the Vistor's Area. Our church members are eager to chat with you and answer any questions you may have about the church, faith or anything else. Don't be alarmed if you're asked to fill in a form for your contact details. This is purely to keep you up to date with up coming events and also to help us stay in touch.
Dress
Most of the people will be dressed casually (jeans and t-shirts are quite common). The stadium does tend to get cold in winter, so please dress warmly in this season.
Children
Children are welcome to attend the service, but we also offer fantastic Sunday morning programs for children aged between 1 - 12 years. Just ask one of our greeters to show you the way. If your child does choose to stay with you in the service then there is a baby area just around the corner with playpen and toys etc, to amuse your little ones if they get a bit too excited. You will still be able to hear the message from this area.
Need Prayer?
At the end of every service, our pastors and leadership team will avail themselves to pray and chat with those in need. If you have a personal struggle, don't suffer alone! We are here to help.
More than a Sunday Service
There are many more programs run by Centrepoint Church during the week. These programs include our lifegroups, youth, women's ministry and recovery programs.
