Certificate IV in Ministry
The Certificate IV in Ministry (91389NSW) is accredited by VETAB and consists of 8 modules. These are:
- Introduction to Old Testament (MINB407A) - Identify the basic themes of the Old Testament.
- Introduction to New Testament (MINB408A) - Identify the basic themes of the New Testament.
- Christian Worldview (MINT402A) - Promote a Christian worldview.
- Christian Discipleship (MINS406A) - Develop spiritual disciplines for Christian living.
- Christian Leadership
(CLEAD402B) - Acquire leadership skills
(BSBFLM412A) - Promote team effectiveness - Field Training 1
(MINP409A) - Identify key areas of church ministry
(BSBCMN411A) - Monitor a safe workplace - Field Training 2
(MINP410A) - Work in a ministry team - Evangelism (MINP404A) - Support church evangelism
Internship
Each student needs to compete two units of Field Training (1 per semester) in order to complete their certificate. Through the ministry internship you will gain valuable ministry experience and an insight into the everyday running of your local church. The internship will be run under the supervision of your local Senior/Youth Pastor.
Intern supervisors will receive regular updates on the progress of their enrolled students.
Field Training 1: Introduction to Church Ministries
This unit covers the skills necessary to identify the various areas and functions of ministry that facilitate the vision and mission of the church.
Field Training 2: Church Leadership
This unit covers the skills necessary to work in a ministry team in the church.
