What the Board Does

The Board of Elders, who oversees and governs the affairs of the church, provides spiritual oversight for the congregation.

The Board supports the Senior Ministers, and their responsibilities include financial oversight, doctrinal integrity, policy matters and overall strategic direction. Being part of the Board also involves prayer for the church as a whole, and pastoral care of the congregation.

Currently Centrepoint Church Board of Elders consists of three couples – Derek and Christine Lindsay, Daniel and Faith Ying, and Peter and Leonie Kriwopischin. In addition to being the Elders, this team of dedicated and gifted leaders also serve in other ministries within the church.

Derek is the Business Manager, and together with Christine, are responsible for managing the finances of the church. With pastoral hearts, both Derek and Christine are also involved in counselling.

Derek is a computer programmer looking after databases and networks, and he also provides computer assistance to many of the Subway stores in Perth.

Christine is a home-schooling mum and taxis their children to their various activities including soccer, where Derek helps with coaching and refereeing. They are blessed with three lovely children – Caleb, Perez and Ashley.

Dan & Faith Ying

Dan and Faith Ying

Dan is the Creative Arts Director, with a passion to see God's glory manifested in people. His desire is to see God’s creative power move through the congregation and miracles take place and people sense a tangible touch from God. Dan is currently running a family owned orchard in Perth. Prior to this, he was working as an electrical engineer.

Faith is involved in the worship and prayer teams. Faith's passion is to teach, train and equip children for their future and to raise them up as leaders in their generation. Faith has a background in Economics and Finance, and is currently working alongside Dan in the running of the family owned orchard.

Peter & Leonie Kriwopischin

Peter & Leonie Kriwopischin

Peter and Leonie are involved in pastoral care for adults and are also Lifegroup Leaders. They believe they have been placed at Centrepoint to serve God and to minister to people so that the people may reach their full destiny in God. They have a passion to see Centrepoint Church impact the City of Cockburn for God.

Peter and Leonie have two beautiful daughters, Jade and Sarah. Leonie is involved in the worship team and the area of hospitality.

Leonie is an Early Childhood teacher, and her school's Learning Support Coordinator, which involves facilitating parent education forums. Peter is a welding supervisor for a large construction company.

Steve & Jayne Simpson

Steve & Jayne Simpson

Steve and Jayne believe they have been called to Centrepoint Church to help build an inspirational church that reaches the local community, nation and world.

Jayne is employed part time by Centrepoint Church to assist in the area of finance and administration. She also leads the women's ministry, decor and hosting teams. Steve is involved in the worship team as a worship leader and guitarist. He also leads the set up team for sound.

Jayne works as Practice Manager for a Periodontal practice and Steve is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. They are blessed with two gorgeous daughters Alisha and Aimee.
